How we work
A clear brief.
A considered journey.
Good sourcing is a sequence of decisions made with the right information. Here is how a project can move from an initial conversation towards production and shipment.
The next step should be clear.
The sequence and scope depend on your project. Timing is confirmed around specifications, approvals, materials and manufacturer capacity.
The sourcing journey
From first brief
to handover.
Buyer input is part of every stage. Clear decisions and consolidated feedback help keep everyone working from the same information.
Start with your brief- 01
Initial brief
Understand the collection
We begin with your product idea, intended market, quantities and priorities. The aim is to identify what is already defined and what still needs a decision.
Your part: Share tech packs or references, your target price and preferred delivery window.
- 02
Feasibility review
Ask the practical questions
Review the proposed materials, construction, volume and timing. Discuss missing information and any constraints before moving into detailed sourcing.
Your part: Clarify your essential requirements and where alternatives could be considered.
- 03
Supplier selection
Explore suitable manufacturers
Discuss potential manufacturers against the brief and the supplier requirements you have provided. Factory information and supporting documents need to be reviewed for the project.
Your part: Identify any factory, material, documentation or assessment requirements.
- 04
Quotation
Agree the commercial basis
Review pricing against the specification, quantities, packing and delivery basis. Identify sample costs, third-party costs and any assumptions that need confirmation.
Your part: Review the quotation and confirm the scope, terms and outstanding questions.
- 05
Sample development
Develop, review and refine
Coordinate sample requests and feedback so that fit, fabric, construction and finishing can be discussed using a shared reference.
Your part: Provide consolidated comments, measurements and revision priorities.
- 06
Approvals
Set the production reference
Confirm the agreed sample, specification, materials, colour and packing details before bulk production is authorised. Record any approved changes.
Your part: Give the required approvals and confirm the final order details.
- 07
Bulk production
Follow the agreed milestones
Coordinate production updates within the agreed service scope. Raise questions, changes or timing concerns with the responsible parties.
Your part: Keep an authorised contact available for decisions and change approvals.
- 08
Quality checks
Review against agreed expectations
Coordinate the inspection or testing arrangements agreed for the order. Discuss findings and any necessary action before release decisions are made.
Your part: Confirm acceptance criteria, inspection responsibilities and how findings will be handled.
- 09
Shipment coordination
Prepare the handover
Coordinate communication on packing, shipment readiness and requested documentation with the manufacturer and appointed logistics partners.
Your part: Confirm the destination, delivery terms, freight arrangements and document requirements.
Before production begins
Make the agreement
specific.
There is no single lead time or inspection arrangement that fits every garment order. The working plan needs to reflect the actual product and the responsibilities of each party.
- Confirm specifications, sample approvals and order quantities.
- Agree pricing, payment arrangements and the scope of sourcing support.
- Confirm the production schedule and dependencies on approvals or materials.
- Define quality checks, testing, reporting and release responsibilities.
- Agree packing, delivery terms and logistics contacts.
